8 weeks down ..

Today marks the 8 week mark.  Reading the baby center updates this week Baby Ni has webbed fingers and toes which are starting to poke out from the baby's hands and feet. Baby's lungs are developing more and breathing tubes are extending from his/her throat to the branches of developing lungs.   Apparently the reason i am getting dumber is because the babies brain is really taking off, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming neural pathways. Baby Ni has grown A LOT in 2 weeks and went from a rice grain to a kidney bean.

What this all means for me is Nasea, Nasea, Nasea... This weekend was a blast with my family celebrating my mom's retirement but it also kicked my butt.  Last night we got in at 2am and i was heaving becuase i was so naseous.  The next few weeks will only get worse before they get better but i remind myself it is because my body is working overtime to make a baby..

The other thing that struck me this weekend is how many people think they know what you should do when you are pregnant. With each person that finds out there is a list of suggestions, to do's .. dont's and everything in between. People are quick to tell you you are eating too much .. eating to little .. It has also struck me how much love the baby will have.  We got to see both sets of grandparents this weekend and jim and I are touched by how much love this baby will have.. It makes me even more excited to know we are bringing a baby into such a world of amazing love ...
