Week 24: Soccer Time

So i am at 24 weeks and according to all baby websites and books my uterus is the size of a soccer ball. WHOLLY COW. ok so that explains everything, the fact that i look huge, the fact that i pee every minute and the fact that i can rest things on my belly now. But i think there is more to this soccer ball analogy.

In the last 3 days i feel Ava (thats what we are calling her right now .. but reserve the right to change at any moment) every day. I think she is going to be a soccer player. I am starting to get her pattern too.. when she goes for a goal and when shes just kicking around.. Basically every time i eat or drink she's awake sucking it in. I feel her the most at the end of the day and it is the coolest thing ever.

Here is what i imagine. She is doing arm thrusts with my ovaries. Like a work out machine, then she does punches with my bladder .. As for her lower legs, She just likes to jog in place for exercise. I hope she tires herself out and in April all she wants to do is sleep. That would be ideal. In the meantime every time i see my belly jump or feel her from the outside i yell for Jim. He comes over and she stops. Such a tease !!

So at this point all is well and baby is growing .. I love being prego right now and am enjoying this time...
