Yes a babymoon. Contridictory to Jim's belief this is not another thing that i made up. I googled it and it exists. SOooo off we go. Babymoon is like a honeymoon. It's your last weekend romantic weekend before baby comes. Jim and i took off for St.Augustine. The first thing that Jim did was gave Ava a pep talk about how we weren't going to talk to her during the weekend and that this was mommy/daddy time. Ironically she didn't kick or act up all weekend. By saturday i was concerned but on the ride back she came back with a vengance. I really believe she was just listening to dad .. I am sure this means she will be the most obiediant baby ever - RIGHT ...
Anyway, we had a romantic weekend. Walked around the square. Found beaded butterflies for Ava's room which were beautiful and enjoyed out time not running errands and doing baby stuff. We even had massages, it was great!! Jim and i realized two things. The first was that we forgot how much fun it was to just hang out with the two of us. We always travel and explore with others and i think we need to take more time to do Jim and Catherine things. With that said we realized it won't be just JIm and Catherine. Ava will be there too. We would look at different places and say .. yeah we could bring a baby here... So I hope that we continue to live life and have adventures, they will just have to be baby proofed! All I can say is that our babymoon weekend reconfirmed that Ava is joining a family that has a lot of love and two parents that after 9 years stiill make each other smile uncontrollably.
