Week 11:Time to slow down

Week 11 has been off to an exciting start.  Jim and I took the intelligender test (over the counter boy/girl determiner).. we don't have 100% faith in it but it was a fun test to take.  Turns out the test says we are having a girl.  After jim moped around for a bit he started to try out the various girls names that we have been discussing and by the end of the night he was ok with having a girl...

On tuesday i started the day with a bit of a scare... I had some spotting and the doctor wanted me in that day for an ultrasound. I was sooo worried.  I kept thinking of all the running around and stress i was putting on my body and so worried that i did something wrong.  At the ultrasound jim and I were so relieved to see Baby Ni swimming around, sucking "her" thumb and doing little kicks in my belly. It was AMAZING.. one of the craziest things i have ever saw in my life.  The baby's heartbeat is strong and all was ok with the baby....  Now me on the other hand, apparently i have a rare condition called Placenta Previa.  This is where the placenta is covering my cervix. SO what does this mean .... best case is that it moves or shifts by birth ... worst case is bed rest, travel restrictions and a C-section. So it looks like I will probably get more ultrasounds then most and have to take at easy.  No problem.... Time to start putting baby first and to remind my head that i am pregnant and it isn't business as usual...

So with the scare this week i have a new appreciation of how things have to change during pregnancy and i will definitely sloooowww down ..

The pictures below are the latest of Baby Ni... You can see the fingers, toes and features in the face.  AMAZING !!
